Safe to say I’m going to be doing more of this.
some layered guitars, heavily downsampled.
Quick sound experiment using Leafcutter John’s Forester software. I love the variety of sounds you can get from a few 8 second samples.
sdp/ is a project that I’ve been working on for the last week. I wrote a piece each day, experimenting with drones and various software instruments and samplers. I was loosely inspired by Ryoji Ikeda’s Headphonics and +/- compositions, although my pieces are more noise experiments than structured compositions. Click the title/link above to download. Enjoy!

So sdp/ is finished! I’m putting a couple of finishing touches to it today, then I’ll upload it and post a link tomorrow so you can download it.

This is my most recent sound art piece, Entgleisungen, composed as my second year Sonic Arts Project assignment. The title means ‘derailments’, and refers to a thought disorder in which a person switches between two or more unrelated (or seemingly unrelated) ideas when writing or speaking. It also refers to the setting of the piece: a London Tube train.
